Cover Contest Semi-Finalist

Happy Thanksgiving! While this holiday has had its ups and downs through history, I like to celebrate it for the spirit of thankfullness, and I hope you do too. Today I'm especially thankful for all of you who voted for me and made the following announcement possible. You rock!

I don't normally talk about my graphic design stuff here on my author's blog but this news is so big I had to share. I'm so incredibly honored to make this announcement. The website renowned as the Wikipedia-like data base for authors, Authorsdb, has been running a cover contest for 2013 and three of my cover designs are finalists!!! I just about fainted when I found out.

Movie Review: 47 Ronin

For those who don't know, I love martial arts. It has been an integral part of my life since I was fifteen. I absolutely love a well choreographed fight scene. While I'm not big on the traditional old foreign martial arts film style of using wires to an extreme, I do love an excellent martial arts movie. 47 Ronin surprised me in a very big, and wonderful, way. I'm not sure why, but I didn't expect much out of it. Unfortunately that means I didn't go see it in the theater and I regret that deeply. This would have been phenomenal on the big screen. The story was excellent, a good, Americanized retelling of the tale of the 47 Ronin. The acting was compelling and I loved Keannu in this role. His fight scenes in particular were quite spectacular. I was reminded of Brad Pitt's scenes in Troy, only better. Yes, you read that right. Keannu's fight scenes were even better. I can hardly believe I wrote that, being such a big fan of Brad in Troy. A New Novel and Call for Cover Reveal Participants

It's finally official, my first epic fantasy novel, The Dragon Empire , is releasing in Spring of Next year! To celebrate I'm doing a cover reveal in January (official reveal date is Monday January 14th but you can post any time after that as well) and I'd love it if all of you would like to participate.
