Coming This December: A Shifter Seeker Novella

A few of you may have read the short story I had published last November in volume 1 of the Magic Beneath the Mistletoe anthology titled Dared & Decorated. If you did, and enjoyed it, you are in for a treat. If you didn't read it and love holiday themed stories featuring your favorite characters, then you are in for a treat too! After the publisher gave our rights to our stories back, I rewrote the short, doubling it's length and turning it into a novella! That novella, now titled Holiday Hunting, will be releasing at the end of this November! Here is a bit about it:

Sleighbells are ringing and the snow is falling in Hemlock Hollow, Montana, but Sonya Michaelson is off saving newly bitten werewolves from losing their minds during their first change. 

That is until she has to prepare the house for the visit of the werewolf parents of her hot professor boyfriend. Between that and holiday shopping with her best friend, the reaper of shifterkind, she will have her hands full. 

Can she pull off the perfect, Jólabókaflóðið, the Icelandic tradition of gifting books, for her boyfriend and his Icelandic parents, or will all her careful plans unravel? 

It will be available in both ebook and print editions.

Movie Review: 47 Ronin

For those who don't know, I love martial arts. It has been an integral part of my life since I was fifteen. I absolutely love a well choreographed fight scene. While I'm not big on the traditional old foreign martial arts film style of using wires to an extreme, I do love an excellent martial arts movie. 47 Ronin surprised me in a very big, and wonderful, way. I'm not sure why, but I didn't expect much out of it. Unfortunately that means I didn't go see it in the theater and I regret that deeply. This would have been phenomenal on the big screen. The story was excellent, a good, Americanized retelling of the tale of the 47 Ronin. The acting was compelling and I loved Keannu in this role. His fight scenes in particular were quite spectacular. I was reminded of Brad Pitt's scenes in Troy, only better. Yes, you read that right. Keannu's fight scenes were even better. I can hardly believe I wrote that, being such a big fan of Brad in Troy.
