Honoring a Witch's Heart is out in the world today! The paperback version is shown on the left, and the hardback version is shown on the right. For collectors: The hardback version sold on Amazon does not have a dust jacket, the image below is printed right on the book. Author's Note: Honoring a Witch's Heart, a historical fantasy about fae descendants, started it's life as Honor Before Heart, a historical romance with no magic or fantasy elements in it. When the idea for the novel hit me, my literary agent at the time convinced me to write it as a historical romance instead of a historical fantasy because they said a historical fantasy was too much of a genre mashup, and there was no market for it because publisher's wouldn't know how to place it and sell it. So, though it broke my heart, I wrote it as a historical romance. Now, years later, I have gotten my rights back from the publisher we signed it with, rewritten it to be the way I always intended, and am bringing it to the world in the hopes readers will love this version as much as I do.

Movie Review: 47 Ronin

For those who don't know, I love martial arts. It has been an integral part of my life since I was fifteen. I absolutely love a well choreographed fight scene. While I'm not big on the traditional old foreign martial arts film style of using wires to an extreme, I do love an excellent martial arts movie. 47 Ronin surprised me in a very big, and wonderful, way. I'm not sure why, but I didn't expect much out of it. Unfortunately that means I didn't go see it in the theater and I regret that deeply. This would have been phenomenal on the big screen. The story was excellent, a good, Americanized retelling of the tale of the 47 Ronin. The acting was compelling and I loved Keannu in this role. His fight scenes in particular were quite spectacular. I was reminded of Brad Pitt's scenes in Troy, only better. Yes, you read that right. Keannu's fight scenes were even better. I can hardly believe I wrote that, being such a big fan of Brad in Troy.
