Come Together For Change
My heart breaks for France, Syria, and all nations enduring violence. On one hand, I wish for peace, on the other, I realize those people in France enjoying a soccer game, concert, or just dinner were enjoying peace before it was torn from them. I don't know what the answer is, but I do know that the world is headed in a dark direction and if we don't change the course, the future will be anything but bright.
Regardless of the impending darkness, I will rage, rage against the dying of the light. Change comes from the great minds of those who come together. And it is time to come together. I will find inspiration in the acts of kindness and hope within the stories of darkness and chaos. I hope you will too.

The nations of the world must unite, putting their former differences behind them, to forge a reasoned, resolute campaign to stop this madness of amoral hate and rage. In this conflict, we must fight the darkness ... until we or it wins.
ReplyDeleteWell said, Roland. Very well said. Now if only they can...
DeleteHeather, I'm listening to the news, and feel the same way. How can we create change of this magnitude? Start by creating change in our personal worlds. If injustice, wrong behavior, attacks be it verbal or physical are occurring, we must say no more! We must not allow this to continue. We have to be strong and always strive for the light. If we can change the small, we can change the big. Thank you for giving me confidence that there is hope! You are that light!
ReplyDeleteWe are all the light, we just have to shine bright enough to drive back the darkness. :) You inspire me, my friend!
DeleteYour blog reminded me of that quote, "Be the change you want to see in the world." Never has it been truer than now.
ReplyDeletePerfectly put, Stephanie. :)
