Monday's Muse~Swag Creation

As the release date for my next novel approaches I’m inspired by swag. There is so many different options out there that it can be overwhelming. I’ve narrowed it down to a site that I like which creates swag but a nagging question remains; what do readers really enjoy receiving when it comes to swag. So I hope you’ll bear with me and answer a survey. Just put the selections that you like, in the order you prefer them, in a comment below.

A) Bookmarks
B) Small Magnets
C) Postcards
D) Posters
E) Stickers
F) Key Chains
G) T-shirts
H) Tote Bags

Thanks for your help everyone! What inspired you last week?

  1. T-shirt
    Key chains
    Stickers
    Bookmarks.

I'm thinking I'm beyond the age of posters on my wall. I have a zillion tote bags. My grandkids love stickers. I think a nice t-shirt is fun. But a key chain, I always use... especially if there is a light involved. :)

    I hope this helps.

    1. It helps a lot, thanks Karlene! I didn't think to look at it from the perspective of who people will give the swag to once they receive it. Brilliant!

  7. Bookmarks. (I'd put small magnets next, because I'd use them to stick notes or pictures to the 'fridge, but nothing in my house holds a magnet--dang!) I'd say the key, for me, is whether I can use it, which also means I don't already have too many of whatever it is. Bookmarks can always be used.

  10. Honestly, just bookmarks. I think it's better to use the swag money toward giveaways of your book on your blog tour to generate more excitement. That's my opinion for what it's worth.

  11. Key chains, T-shirts, magnets, stickers . .

I used to love book marks - I'd lose them all the time but liked them anyways - but now most of my reading is on the Kindle, and they're not so collectible any more.

A shame really; book marks can be awesome.

  14. What a great question and I've been wondering myself! I run a monthly poll on my blog and don't have one for February. I think I'll put this on there. :)

  15. A bookmark always works for me. A totebag or a keychain is next in usage. I don't use magnets much.
